You cannot find a ...

You cannot find a better view than these cabins overlooking the Yellowstone River and the amazing wildlife that surrounds it. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the cabins were very comfortable, our kids had a blast outside exploring and fishing and didn't want to watch TV once, and the restaurant was OUTSTANDINGLY delicious with a great wine list!!!! We checked out a few other resorts during our stay just to see what was out there and nothing compared to the food, view and lodging here. We already booked for next month and next Summer!

The lodge, located 38 ...

The lodge, located 38 miles north of Bozeman, 28 miles south of Gardiner, is a perfect location access point to all excursions in/around the Yellowstone river in Gardiner , (and “Park”) while also close enough to “towns.” All chalets sit as rear to route 89, but front of each face two wonderful (50 yards up slope) bends of the Yellowstone River. Access to the river is a footpath to its banks. For fishermen, this is excellent as a wade walk experience. As families, swimming, drift tubing are equally spot on points. As all SW MT is dealing with attempting to recover from virus losses, they all now face severe underemployment. In no way did this impact day to day enjoyment of the lodge, but simply expect to be flexible with daily room service. To be frank, the towels are more than enough for twice used over a week. There are deluxe kings which include upper loft with twin beds, complete lower living area with kitchen, small living space, dining table, kitchen (all kitchen amenities) bathroom and separate king bedroom. The king cabin is bathroom, kitchenette, sofa and coffee table with king bed. All beds have double comfort bedding. Decor in each is repurposed appearance wood cabinets, headboard and clothing closets. They’re not hunting cabins, but feel rustic yet very modern. Internet is free and 85% responsive. It does sit south, splitting Absaroka and Gallatin pass, so 85% is very good speed. I ran laptop and phone service without hiccup. Temperature of AC is controlled in room and is spot on desired comfort via remote control, ceiling fans and screen slider door during August clear evenings were welcomed, but daily temperatures this year hitting consistent 90’s, the AC is perfect. As of this writing (8/5/21) the river and environment are severely stressed due to super low snow pack over winter. Follow state fire and fishing mandates. Doing so is both right thing and does not leave activities lessened, unless one must fish at dusk, no deal; 2pm cutoff. The fish and water life are too stressed within warm water conditions. A daily morning breakfast on a outside (cover roof nearby) is offered. One hot breakfast food is offered along with excellent coffee, fresh fruit, muffins, coffee cake, juice, cereal, etc... The restaurant is rated as one of the best in all of Paradise Valley. Make reservations early. Enjoy all the scenery of Absaroka mountains and Yellowstone River, sitting on your own porch at your own leisure. If able, the chalet deluxe king would be my own purchased, built and placed somewhere personal escape along 89 on small acreage... It’s that good. To the under staffed and over worker employees, thank you.
